I've just kicked out a new release candidate, OpenResty 1.17.8.1 RC1,
for the community to test out. You can download the source tarball and
the Windows binary packages from here

It includes important security bug fixes among many new features and
normal bug fixes.
Complete change logs can also be found on the web page above. We have
so many new features and important bug fixes that we had to postpone
this version over and over again. But finally it is here.

The formal version 1.17.8.1 will be out if we do not get showstoppers
reported by the community in the next week or so.
We also upgraded PCRE to 8.44 and OpenSSL to 1.1.0l in our official
pre-built binary packages yesterday.
