I've added such checks for srcache_store in ngx_srcache 0.13rc5:
It's also included in the ngx_openresty 188.8.131.52 bundle:
In case that such response truncation happens, you will get the
following error-level message in your nginx.conf:
[error] srcache_store: skipped because response body truncated: ...
Please try it out :)
