How can I architect a server logic with CPU/IO/network intensive tasks?

I want to write a webserver which will be performing following tasks for a request
1. Read some data related to this request from either mmaped files or redis cluster(10-15MB). Data needs to be fetched in mulltiple calls & not at once. - IO Intensive Task
2. Perform some computation over this data - CPU Intensive Task(200-400 ms)
3. After that computation, send http requests to other web servers waiting for some input data from them. Wait Could be around 200-500 MS. These connections can be maintained as persistent like curl does. - Network Intensive Task

Now the suggested architectures are SEDA/Pattern oriented Architecture.
I am expecting overall suggestion like server logic should be inside Nginx Module or a seperate FastCGI Part.
Modules/libraries for CPU/IO/NW tasks.
