Listen to tcp/unix socket in openresty

I was looking at the option for sockets. I wanted to use ngx.timer.at to launch a new corutine and have it open its own unix socket and other request open other unix sockets so they can communicate with one another. I also wanted to allow it to listen tcp in some cases so other openresty machines would be able to communicate this way. Let me know if there are any options for this.

I am trying to send messages to other lua coroutines that may be on another thread process or server with out pulling or using redis. But can't create a server from within a thread because the built in socket library in open rest does not support bind

Keep it simple, use a default server {} block for this, its listening by default. From within you can do what you want.

I see get the idea I am still looking for a way to have some sort of IPC going on to get the workers to have coroutines on different workers to be able to message each other with out going over shared memory

There is plan to add the listening cosocket API to ngx_lua. Patches
