Hi All,

If I establish a redis connection in access_by_lua_file, is it possible to reuse this connection in content_by_lua_file? If yes, how?

Generally connection objects should not be reused across scopes as there is danger in race condition corruption data between requests.

Remember that the "connection object" itself is just a metatable. If you're using the ngx_lua socket pool, you don't have to restablish a tcp connection with each new object creation, so the overhead of use lexical local objects is minimal. Just create a new lua-resty-redis instance in each scope you need it, and keep the socket open, and you'll be fine.
