Hi,

Whats the plan for releasing the new OpenResty version ? It is already Feb 2019 and Im asking 
because we need to plan and schedule our internal development of Kronometrix around this.

The next release will be 1.15.8.1 (and will include ARM64 support) and
is soon to be published. All branches are in frozen state, and we will
spend a few days doing some testing on our side.

Any news on the final bits for 1.15.8.1 ?

Hi,

We are currently working on 1.15.8.1rc2 and we will release it as soon
as it is ready.

It fixes a segfault in LuaJIT and implements the new
'lua_load_resty_core' directive which loads lua-resty-core by default.

Regarding lua-resty-core: are there any differences from RC1 release for any applications deployed on openresty ? Do we need to manually add new settings to nginx.conf to load lua resty core module?

There is a new directive 'lua_load_resty_core' which is enabled by
default (so no nginx.conf changes if you are already loading resty.core
in your application).

Even if you are not using resty.core yet, it is safer, faster, and more
complete than the old CFunction API of the ngx_lua module, so most
likely, you would not change nginx.conf in this case either.

For the time being, we are running our EC2 test clusters and reviewing
results to ensure that the release is stable.

The other changes in rc2 are very minor.
