Really wonder what impact F5's acquisition of NGINX may have on OpenResty.
May it delay the 1.15.8 release?

OpenResty maybe has to maintain a fork of NGINX if NGINX no longer open source.

I am sure it will not delay OpenResty 1.15.8.
